The biggest challenge with this project was that the original 12 inch album sleeves for the 63 cd covers were in bad shape. Each cover had to be retouched or rebuilt. The covers included some that had special features, like gate folds or printing on foil which were recreated for these mini albums.

Vibeke Saugestad 'models' the Johnny Cash Complete Columbia Album Collection box set in this video by Tom Moore photo.
In this booklet we were able to include behind-the-scenes photos as well as the often published images of this famous 1969 televised concert. This is where the iconic "flipping the bird" photo was taken. Mr. Cash used this gesture to clear the stage of the television crew who were blocking him from seeing his audience. Naturally we had to include a spread about that. We added a couple of inset photos of the moments leading up to that one.

There were so many great behind the scenes photos taken by Jim Marshall. The stacks of photos inspired the visual theme for this booklet.
