Randall Martin
Founder, Creative Director
Prior to starting this company, Randall headed a design studio under his own name for fourteen years. He has an extensive background designing for the music industry for artists ranging from Miles Davis to Willie Nelson which has given him a broad stylistic range.
Currently his work includes website and print design for a diverse array of advocacy groups and commercial clients.
Alison Wilkes
Art Director, Account Manager
Originally raised and educated in the U.K., Alison is an accomplished art director and designer with an established track record of creating successful print and digital products. She is experienced in new product development from concept through launch and has a demonstrated ability to reflect the visual identity of specific brands. She is highly skilled at building, directing, and managing talented creative teams.
Her prior experience includes twenty years as an art director in illustrated book and magazine publishing. Today she provides design strategies for established brands in both the non-profit and the commercial sectors. She excels at directing, producing, and styling photography.
Sam Nelson
Engineer
After graduating from Harvard with honors in Mathematics, Sam worked as the computer coordinator for the Casablanca American School. Returning to America, he became the Senior Software Engineer at Small World Software, a startup Web development company, and helped it grow from three employees to more than 50.
He then became the Director of Software Development at The New York Times Electronic Media Company, where he managed a team of 30 Java developers, database managers, and Solaris system administrators maintaining and developing applications for the Times’ online properties. He left the Times to become a freelance consultant and developer, primarily providing open-source solutions to not-for-profit organizations.
Lani Offen
Web Developer, Project Manager
Lani has sixteen years of experience as a database programmer and project manager. She is currently a Senior Project Manager with The Umbrella Group. Prior to her work with Umbrella, she was a project manager with Civic Actions, where she managed Drupal development projects on behalf of MIT and the ACLU.
Previously she served as a senior producer with Team Articulate supporting Condé Nast titles including House and Garden, Bon Appetit, Jane, Golf Digest, and GQ. Previous to that, she developed custom solutions for financial services corporations including Pedestal Capital, an online exchange for mortgage backed securities. She was also the technical director for Innovative USA, a children's publisher and educational toy importer. Lani studied engineering at The Cooper Union and Political Science at CUNY.
